Cancellation rights and refunds

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days run from the day after the day you entered into the contract — not from when you first use the service.

Digital content, and when the right ends

MediLexi is a digital service that is switched on straight away. Under regulation 37 of those Regulations we may only start supplying it inside the 14 days if you have expressly asked us to and have acknowledged that you lose the right to cancel by doing so. Both have to happen, and the right is only lost once supply has actually begun.

That is why you tick this yourself before the payment step. The box starts empty, and without it you do not get to payment. The wording you tick is:

“I expressly request that access to the digital content is made available to me immediately, before the 14-day cancellation period has ended. I acknowledge that I will lose my right to cancel once supply has begun.”

We store your tick with the time and the exact wording in force when you bought, so you can get it back afterwards. It is also confirmed in the purchase confirmation from Paddle, which is the durable record the Regulations require us to send.

If you do not tick the box you cannot buy with immediate access — and you keep the full 14 days.

How to cancel

Tell us before the 14 days are up. A clear statement is enough — email it to support.lexiteam@gmail.com. You can use the form below, but you do not have to. We will acknowledge it and refund you without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days of being told.

Model cancellation form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.

To iLexiBox, Rugdevegen 2B, 2609 Lillehammer, Norway, support.lexiteam@gmail.com:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following service:

Service: ______________________________________

Ordered on: ____________________

Name of consumer: ______________________________________

Address of consumer: ______________________________________

Email address of consumer: ______________________________

Date: ____________________

(Signature is needed only if this form is sent on paper.)

Ending a subscription

You can stop a subscription renewing at any time. Access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Ending a subscription is not the same as cancelling: ending it stops future payments, while the right to cancel is about the purchase itself within the first 14 days. If you need help, contact support.lexiteam@gmail.com.

If something is wrong with the service

The right to cancel is separate from your rights when the service is faulty. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose and as described, and those rights are not limited to 14 days. See our Terms.

If we cannot agree

Come to us first. If we cannot sort it out, you can get free and independent advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133 or at citizensadvice.org.uk. We are not a member of an approved alternative dispute resolution scheme, and you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts where you live.
